MARTA Atlanta Airport

MARTA, the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority, provides rail and bus service to and from Atlanta Airport. It is the public transportation option from ATL.

Red line (rail) has the following stops: North Springs, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Medical Center, Buckhead, Lindbergh Center, Arts Center, Midtown, North Avenue, Civic Center, Peachtree Center, Five Points. 

Schedule: 4:40 am to 1:00am. 


Gold line (rail) has the following stops: Doraville, Chamblee, Brookhaven, Lenox, Lindbergh Center, Arts Center, Midtown, North Avenue, Civic Center, Peachtree Center, Five Points, Garnett, West End, Oakland City, Lakewood/Ft. McPherson, East Point, College Park, Airport. 

Schedule: 4:50 am to 8:50 pm. 

MARTA bus 191

It is the only bus stop from the Airport. 

Route is all along Clayton County Justice Center.

Schedule: 5:00am to 1:00am.

Frequencies: Both lines have a frequency which may vary between 10 to 20 minutes according to the time of the day. Check the schedules for further information.


MARTA’s station is located in the Domestic Terminal. Please note that passengers can transfer from the Domestic Terminal between the north and south baggage claim area.

If you come from International Terminal, there is a free shuttle that covers the route. 

You may also ride the airport’s “Plane Train” to the Domestic Terminal Baggage Claim stop.


In order to board MARTA, passengers should use Breeze Card, which stands for a long-term use card and allows you to board several services owned by MARTA (until four transfers, either bus or train without extra fares).

Regular fare is 2,50$ and can be purchased at any Breeze Vending Machines, at MARTA RideStores or online through its website.
