Atlanta Airport to Amtrak

The Domestic Terminal at Atlanta Airport is located in the west side of ATL Airport facilities. It consists of a couple of Terminals: North Terminal and South Terminal.


Please note that the Domestic Terminal South Terminal hosts both regional and domestic flights within the US and it is only served by Delta, while the other domestic carriers are hosted in Terminal North.

Transfer between terminals

Atlanta Airport Domestic Terminal is split into the North and the South Terminal, which consists of the baggage claim, check-in and ticketing facilities.


On the other hand, the main terminal (Atrium) also hosts some services and facilities of the Domestic Terminal.


Take a look at the levels of Atlanta Airport Domestic Terminal:


- Domestic Main Terminal (Atrium): It is home of the Ground Transportation Center at Atlanta Airport Terminals. The level consists of a 3-level atrium, which is surrounded by several foods, drink and retail concessions. On the other hand, the Plane Train serves the main security checkpoint that leads to A to F boarding gates satellites, while South and North security checkpoints takes you to the north boarding gates T9 to T15 and to the South gates T1 to T18.


- Domestic North Terminal: It is home of boarding gates Frontier, American, Spirit, United and Southwest. Also find here the check-in and ticketing facilities to boarding gates N4, N5 and N6.

Facilities: Pet relief area, American Airlines baggage claim. For all the other baggage claim areas (carousels 1 to 8), please proceed to doors N1, N2 or N3.


From this section it is possible to get to the lower parking (close to N3 gate), while Greyhound Flightlink is at doorway LN1.


- Domestic South Terminal: Domestic flights by Alaska and Delta airlines are served from this terminal.


Ticketing and check-in: S1 to S4 doors. Access to the lower parking and doorway LS1 through door S3.

Baggage claim area (carousels 1 to 9): Door 55 to 57. Access to the lower parking and doorway LS2 through doors 55-57.




Atlanta Airport Domestic Terminal is served by the following concourses:


- Concourse T: Concourse T is the only concourse at Atlanta Airport connected to the Main Terminal of the Domestic Terminal. Separate checkpoints are located on the left (T9-T15) and on the right (T1-T8) of the concourse. Find in the central part between boarding gates T8 and T9 which leads to the Plane Train serving concourse A to F and also the International Terminal (baggage claim). Services and amenities are located throughout the Concourse.


Atlanta Airport Domestic Terminal, as well as the International Terminal, is also served by Concourses A, B, C, D and E, since those are located between both terminals.
